The Altra Experience Wild 3+ GTX is a lightweight, neutral trail-running shoe built for mixed terrain and messy weather. It takes Altra's comfortable daily trail trainer and updates it with an elite Vibram® Megagrip outsole and a waterproof GORE-TEX lining. Like the rest of Altra's Experience line, it features a low 4mm heel-to-toe drop rather than a traditional zero-drop platform, making it a perfect transition shoe for runners switching from standard high-drop shoes.
• GORE-TEX Invisible Fit: The upper uses a waterproof layer bonded directly to the mesh. It completely blocks rain, puddles, and mud while remaining highly breathable and eliminating uncomfortable wrinkles or pressure points.
• Integrated GaiterTrap™: A built-in hook-and-loop system allows you to easily attach strapless trail gaiters to keep rocks, dirt, and twigs out of your shoes.
• Heavy-Duty Toe Bumper: The Vibram outsole wraps up around the front to form a massive, integrated rubber toe shield that protects your feet from painful rock kicks and root stubs.
• Vibram® Megagrip Outsole: Moving away from standard in-house rubber, the "3+" model upgrades to premium Vibram® Megagrip. It offers extreme sticky traction on both wet and dry surfaces.
